My Background

My Background

I was born in New York City in 2000, growing up on the Upper West Side where I attended Trinity High School. I played on the soccer team and ran track, and I worked at a family owned bar/restaurant on weekends and school breaks. During high school, I spent my summers doing internships, including an architecture internship in Dublin, Ireland at Aughey O'Flaherty Architects. After graduating in 2019, I attended Colorado College where I majored in Political Science and Minored in History. My capstone project for my Political Science major was a paper and presentation on The Effects of Foreign Investment on Housing Affordability in the United States. For my history minor, I wrote a final paper on The Impact of the Anthropocene on Imaginations of the Future, referencing works from Jules Verne, George Orwell, and others.

I moved back to New York City after graduation in 2023 and began working as a Sales Development Representative for a tech-based laundry service startup called HappyNest where I learned how to negotiate with individual customers, small business owners, and regional heads of national companies. After challenging myself and learning a great deal, I left HappyNest to pursue in-person work in a creative industry. During the past few months I have taken a digital storytelling class at the NYU School of Professional Studies, a class on Unreal Engine animation at the Manhattan Neighborhood Network, pursued freelance creative work, and worked as a bartender on the Upper East Side.
